Finnish Language Course For Beginners- Level A0

This course duration is 8 weeks.

This course is suitable for youth and adults who are beginners in their Finnish language learning journey. The course is immersive and instructions in the Finnish language, however English is used for support in the beginning and when needed. This is a small group class, only 10 seats available!

Class meets on Saturdays, starting on April 27th and ending on June 15th, 2024. Classes are held online on the zoom platform at 9:00-9:45 a.m on Saturdays (Finland Time Zone), the dates are below:

• April 27th
• May 4th, 11th, 18th,  25th
• June 1st, 8th, 15th

The Online Finnish Course for Beginners covers the fundamentals of the Finnish language, including the alphabet, common words, and verbs essential for starting to speak Finnish. We focus on learning Finnish through speaking to help you understand both the language sounds and spoken language, enhancing your ability to comprehend conversations and written Finnish. 

After completing the course, students can:

• Act and ask questions in everyday situations
• Understand basic expressions from slow speech
• Introduce themselves and share information slowly
• Know numbers, the alphabet, verb “to be,” and personal pronouns
• Have basic knowledge of Finnish culture and society.
